How to share a dream and make it come true

Human values are the basis of peace. Peace is the best environment for love (in all its facets – starting from a smile). And peace and love together mean happiness.

Happiness cannot be bought. A lot of people in “developed” countries and ever more in “less developed” ones (as a result of the globalization of the media) think of happiness as having a Rolls Royce or a Bentley or owning a penthouse in New York or Paris.

The summum of happiness based on riches is to own Wall Street or another stock exchange.

More than 30 years ago, we wrote “people suffer because they often are led by the wrong people, by people not having enough humanity or none at all”.

Today, this has become even more of a truth. We are mostly driven by money-driven individuals and institutions. Wall Street and the other stock exchanges start to own us. And to own politicians.

The economic powerhouses dominate not only the business but also the political world. Through lobbying and other stratagems or tricks.

Money-driven societies

Very healthy? Quite the opposite. Exclusively money-driven societies are bound to fail as they lack humanity. They are not based on the right human values. This leads to a lot of people feeling out of tune with society, resulting in psychological problems, suicides and violence.

Is the genuine American dream worth it to give up a well-balanced society?

No, the true American dream and the dream of all human beings is to be happy without the need for financial riches.

Today, most leaders are primarily money-driven too and stimulated by the lobbyists of big companies. Humanity is sent into exile. When looking at the political scene from a distance and when watching the political – and also business – leaders in the media, we are given the impression many are like freezing frogs around a pond turned sour – our society. The warm-blooded frogs have been quackled out or have been figuratively devoured. To quackle is to make a lot of freezing noise without any human warmth.

Subjugated and cold

Politics should no longer be subjugated to economics. In fact, they should both be looking in the right direction. The direction they are taking now is taking the entire society and world to total dehumanization. We are heading for a frozen world with a climate that has been deranged by the same wrong principles. Selfishness and greed and lust for money are leading us away from what Humanity was meant to be. An expression of true humanity or human values.

The only solution to prevent society and Humanity from turning into a bitterly cold pond, should be elections with human values at the very centre. 

Let political parties show us honestly and openly how they will increase the respect for human values when elected. Let them tell us how they will increase humanity. How they will rebalance economics and politics. In short, how they will increase happiness. So that our children at least can walk in the street without fear. So that no one feels excluded from society. So that we can have an old age without too many worries. So that our lives are no longer dictated by economic lordships that keep up the wrong principles suffocating humanity.
