God bless us all
Some people ask God to bless them.
Or their group or their country.
But the request often implies that
other people or countries will suffer.
Or that Nature will be maltreated.
Do these people really know who God is?
Do they know what God expects of them?
Has God ever answered them back?
Invoking the help of God is one thing,
acting as God would want to is different.
Invoking the help of God just to justify actions
is not really what prayers are for.
Calling the name of God without
pledging allegiance to Him
is like taking a shower without water.
To have your prayers answered,
you need to know who God is
and what He stands for.
Once you do, you can act
as He would expect you to.
Prayers spoken without honesty
have no effect whatsoever.
They are actually counterproductive.
Prayers spoken from a heart
filled with the desire for peace
are the only ones answered.
Prayers spoken from a mind
that is intent on violence
are hurting you and God.
God can only be talked to
in the language of peace.
He can only be met in peace.
Wanting God is wanting peace.
Wanting peace for the entire world.
Not just for yourself, your group or country.
