One morning I woke up.
Somewhere I had never been before.
The Sun was shining brightly
inviting me to have a walk
in the forest all around me.

The air was fresh and energizing.
The smells of plants soothing.
The sounds of animals like music.
I felt so good and full of happiness.
It looked like a new world.

I could remember the old world,
where life was often difficult.
Where violence made the headlines
more than any other subject.

Why is the world so complicated?
Why cannot it be made more simple?
What is lacking to make people happy?

The obsession with material things
seems to be one of the main reasons
for many problems and conflicts.

The belief that you need to be rich
to be happy is another reason.

Most people have lost touch with Nature.
Maybe they need “walks in the forest”
to see clearly and to know
what really counts in this life.
