Blind and yet I can see
It does not matter to me
what colour your skin or hair has.
It can be any colour.
I just don’t care.
I am blind.
What matters to me is the warmth of your heart.
I can feel that more than anything else.
How you look on the outside is of no importance.
I will not judge you because of your looks.
But I do care about how you treat me.
As a person that can be your friend
just as anybody else can.
I am blind, but in a way I can see.
I can see inside the heart of people.
Some are incredibly beautiful
and make me feel good and appreciated.
Some people can see
and yet they are blinded by
the looks or outside traits of people.
What matters to me is not the package,
but what is inside it.
